German fighters will be able to "invade" the territory of Poland in case of danger, and vice versa. Yesterday, May 14, portal janes.com reported that Germany and Poland have agreed to allow combat aircraft to cross their national borders in the event of a Quick Reaction Alert (QRA).
The agreement was signed in Warsaw by the defense ministers of Germany and Poland. Thus, the German Eurofighter fighters can, if necessary, be over the territory of Poland, and the F-16 and MiG-29 of the Polish Air Force-over Germany.

"This agreement will allow our fighter jets to cross borders in our united airspace. This not only protects our own population, but is ultimately good for the entire NATO alliance, " said Lieutenant General Klaus Habersetzer, commander of the Air Operations Center.
The signed agreement will be part of the expanded NATO Air Protection Mission (eAP), which also includes missions covering Albania, Iceland, Slovenia, the Baltic States, the Benelux countries, as well as the protection of the airspace of Bulgaria and Romania.
Pilots and ground personnel on QRA duty are on immediate alert 24 hours a day. This allows you to raise fighter jets into the sky in a matter of minutes to intercept and escort aircraft of other countries.
