Nur-Sultan. May 15. INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN-The Chagall drone developed by Kazakh military scientists has successfully passed the next test, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the republic reported on Saturday.
Field tests of a reconnaissance unmanned aircraft complex of domestic production took place near Nur-Sultan.
According to the ministry, the drone was developed by military scientists of the National Defense University named after the first President of Kazakhstan.
"Currently, the UAV is at the final stage of testing. "Chagall" consists of an aircraft and a ground segment and is equipped with the latest technology system. (...) Its advantage is in its own software. The device has several degrees of protection, " the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The drone is able to determine the coordinates of ground objects and transmit information to the operator's console. The flight range of the reconnaissance aircraft complex is up to 30 kilometers, the maximum speed is up to 110 km / h, and the maximum flight altitude is 3,500 meters above sea level. It can stay in the air for up to two hours, and is stable when the wind increases to 14 meters per second. The drone is equipped with a domestic software and hardware communication channel, as well as its own cryptographic protocol, the ministry informed.
The ministry noted that the development of technical characteristics is not inferior to foreign analogues, but the price is significantly lower than foreign samples.
