Rheinmetall NH3
One of the oldest German concerns-manufacturers of military equipment Rheinmetall (founded in 1889-ed. TechCult.ru) introduced a new version of the NH – NH3 tactical military truck.
The trucks of this series have proven themselves well since they were put into operation in 2007, as clearly evidenced by the number of cars sold worldwide – about 15,000 units. The goal of the developers of the NH3 is to create a military machine that will not become obsolete in the coming years, even with the advent of new technologies. For this purpose, Rheinmetall engineers have added an active rear axle suspension to improve off-road performance, new electrical and electronic systems, as well as emergency braking assistance (EVA), lane departure warning (LDW) and adaptive cruise control (ACC) systems. The cab is equipped with new interfaces, thanks to which it is now possible to mount autonomous control devices.

The NH3 comes into operation in 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 and 10x10 configurations, which allows you to transport not only conventional cargo by truck, but also install specialized modules – for example, artillery systems and radars. Since we are talking about a military truck, the cabin of the NH3 has a fairly high level of armor protection and at the same time a good view through the windshields and side windows, which is complemented by the BirdView camera system, which helps the driver to better navigate in urban conditions. The company's specialists have also developed a digital stealth mode that protects data transmission processes from the truck. The cockpit itself can be equipped with the ADS short-range active defense system, designed to counter attacks.
