TSAMTO, May 13. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines has published a" Notice of Order "(NOA – Notice of Award) for the supply of 90 light trucks GAZ" Sadko NEXT " produced by the Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ Group, Nizhny Novgorod).
As reported in the blog MaxDefense Philippines, the order for the trucks was received by Conequip Philippines, which is a dealer of the Russian brand of GAZ trucks.
Although the brand of the car has not yet been confirmed, it is believed that Conequip Philippines offered the Sadko NEXT GAS-a modern version of the Sadko GAS, 37 units of which were purchased last year by the special forces of the Philippine National Police.
According to MaxDefense Philippines, the Russian gas "Sadko NEXT" with a 4x4 wheel formula will occupy a niche between the Kia KM450 4x4 truck and the Kia KM250 6x6, currently used as a military transport.
If the deal is implemented, it will be the second Russian truck model to enter service in the Philippines after the 7-ton Ural-4320, 20 units of which were donated by the Russian government and are currently used by the Logistics Support Command (ASCOM) for transport tasks.
