Moscow. May 13. INTERFAX-The United Engine Corporation (UEC, Rostec) has manufactured four NK-36ST industrial engines for the Novosindorskaya compressor station of the Ukhta-Torzhok gas pipeline, the corporation said.
"The power plants will be operated as part of gas pumping units in the Komi Republic at the Novosindorskaya compressor station of the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta-Torzhok gas pipeline, which feeds part of the Nord Stream-2," UEC said.
The UEC stated that the delivered gas turbine engines are characterized by high efficiency and reliability, are easy to install and transport, and are capable of operating in difficult climatic conditions.
"In the next three years, we forecast a 30% increase in demand for ground-based power plants and intend to increase the production of gas pumping equipment. In order to be competitive in this market, we continuously improve the consumer quality and environmental friendliness of our engines. In particular, some elements of the low-emission combustion chamber for the NK-36ST engine are now created by 3D printing, which reduces the weight of the power plant and increases the reliability of the components, "said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec.
