MOSCOW, May 13-RIA Novosti. Shvabe Holding (part of Rostec) has developed a Segment Gamma detector that can detect explosives and dangerous chemicals in five seconds, the press service of the state corporation reported.
The prototype was first presented at the exhibition "Integrated Security", which takes place in the Patriot Park (Kubinka).
"The Gamma Segment continuously monitors the indoor air for explosives, dangerous chemical and biological agents," the company said.
According to Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec, the complex can be used at railway stations, airports and metro stations, shopping centers, cinemas, concert and exhibition halls. Efficiency — at least 99.8%.
Previously, Shvabe presented the Detector-BIO and Ether-BIO devices for detecting toxins, bacteria and viruses in the air, including COVID-19. The devices were created in partnership with the Gamalei Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology and the ITEB RAS within the framework of the federal program "National System of Chemical and Biological Safety of the Russian Federation".
