The "Moscow Institute of Heat Engineering" reported that work on the reconstruction of the monorail section is already being completed, where they will demonstrate the layout
MOSCOW, May 13. /TASS/. The model of the magnetic cushion train will be demonstrated for the first time by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering Corporation (MIT, which is the developer of the Yars complex, part of Roscosmos) in August. This was reported to TASS in MIT on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the enterprise.
"In August, a model of an electric rolling stock with the implementation of the magnetic levitation principle of movement will be demonstrated. This technology is used for the first time in the country," the corporation noted.
Work is already being completed on the reconstruction of the monorail section, where the layout will be demonstrated, the MIT said.
In February, Yuri Solomonov, General Designer of the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Hero of Labor of Russia, told TASS that the corporation has developed a magnetic cushion train that can operate in unmanned mode, among other things. According to him, sea trials should begin this year, the results of which will make a decision on the deployment of full-scale work on the serial production of a new type of monorail transport system.
MIT is the developer of the Topol, Topol-M, Yars, and Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles.
