Moscow. May 13. INTERFAX-At the Kapustin Yar test site, the modernization of the measuring complex for testing various types of weapons has been completed, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The test site is not only completely re-equipped with modern measuring equipment, but also a system of information and measurement support for tests has been created, which allows providing reportage and reference and analytical information about the course of pre-launch training, launch and flight of the missile in real time to the Central Command Post of the Strategic Missile Forces," the ministry said in a statement.
The objects of the experimental and test base and the combat fields of the Kapustin Yar training ground are located in four regions of the Russian Federation (Astrakhan, Volgograd, Saratov and Orenburg) and five regions of Kazakhstan (West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl) on land plots with a total area of about 9.5 million hectares.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that the test tracks and the Kapustina Yara test range allow testing combat equipment, including " a promising configuration in the entire range of possible conditions for its delivery to targets in the interests of the Strategic Missile Forces."
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation previously noted that on the Kapustin Yar - Balkhash highway, elements and systems of the national missile defense are being tested.
