TSAMTO, May 12. Military personnel of the formations and military units of the VVO stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory will improve their professional skills at the modernized landfill facilities during the summer training period.
Works within the framework of the preparatory period are carried out at the landfills "Tsugol", "Borzya-Novaya", "Peschanka", "Krasny Yar" and "Drovyanaya".
More than 2 thousand different targets are being prepared for military personnel to perform shooting exercises from standard weapons, simulating equipment, artillery systems, firepower and manpower of a simulated enemy.
At the Borzya-Novaya training ground, it is planned to build firing positions for infantry fighting vehicles and tanks, walls for training snipers, models of buildings for training personnel actions in urban conditions, and an additional area for performing army tactical shooting exercises.
In addition, during the preparatory period, special equipment is being repaired and restored at the landfills. For better training of troops, 100% of the objects of the field training and material base will be updated.
Several thousand practical exercises and exercises in various disciplines of combat training are held annually at the VVO training grounds in Transbaikalia, both during the day and at night, the press service of the Eastern Military District reports.
