In China, an improved QSB-11 shooting knife for scouts and special forces was publicly demonstrated. Weapons in action showed the national television of the People's Republic of China in a report from the training of the special forces.
The characteristics of the new knife were not disclosed. So far, the PLA has used the QSB-91 shooting knife, which was adopted in 1991. In its handle there are four rifled barrels for a 7.62 x 17 mm cartridge. Its effective range is no more than 10 meters, while the stopping effect is minimal.
The trigger mechanism allows you to fire four shots without reloading. When the trigger is cocked, the firing pin turns 90 degrees, facing the next round. The knife also has a primitive sight. In addition to the weak cartridge, the disadvantages of the QSB-91 include barrels that are open even when the knife is in the scabbard. In the process of using the weapon as a knife, they can get clogged with earth and debris, which will negatively affect the combat properties.
