London. May 3. INTERFAX-Two American reconnaissance planes flew for hours near Russia's Black Sea borders on Monday, according to monitoring by Western aviation resources that tracked them using transponder signals.
According to them, the US Air Force RC-135W strategic electronic reconnaissance aircraft, which took off from the Souda Bay air base on the Greek island of Crete, carried out tasks along the coast of the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory for about three hours.
Following it on Monday, a US Navy P-8A Poseidon anti-submarine patrol aircraft flew to the Russian borders on the Black Sea, taking off from the Sigonella air base on the Italian island of Sicily. Initially, it cruised to the south-west of the Crimea, including Sevastopol, and then made overflights along the south of the peninsula, as well as the Krasnodar Territory in the area of Novorossiysk.
The day before, a US Navy P-8A Poseidon anti-submarine patrol aircraft also conducted reconnaissance near the Russian borders on the Black Sea.
