Dubai. May 1. INTERFAX-The participants in the negotiations in Vienna on the Iranian nuclear issue have started drafting the text of an agreement on the resumption of compliance with the JCPOA, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.
"The delegations have started working on the text of the agreement, "the Iranian Press-TV channel quoted the diplomat as saying on Twitter. He does not provide details about the agreement being prepared.
Araghchi noted that the progress in the negotiations is not fast, but, in his opinion, this is expected.
Another round of talks on the return of Iran and the United States to compliance with the JCPOA - the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program-was held in Vienna on Saturday. It was concluded by Tehran and the " six " international mediators (permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany). During the presidency of Donald Trump, the United States withdrew from the agreement and reinstated sanctions against Iran. After that, Tehran also announced that it would no longer fulfill its obligations under the JCPOA.
Now the parties are trying to agree on what conditions and in what order Washington and Tehran will return to the JCPOA. All parties are involved in the negotiation process in the Austrian capital. At the same time, the US and Iranian delegations do not hold direct contacts.
