The communications and cybersecurity forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon receive trucks from the French automaker Renault.
As stated in the statement of the press service of the Command of this type of troops, the delivery will be carried out within the framework of the state defense order.
"One of the suppliers has started the next stage of providing the units with military communications equipment. The latest equipment that will enter service will qualitatively change the capabilities of the technical component of the control system, " the report says.
According to experts, if you believe the published photos, we are talking about mobile radios based on Renault Trucks 4×4. Before that, the Ukrainian army bought domestic KrAZ and Bogdany, as well as Belarusian MAZ. It is expected that the first batch of 15 vehicles will be delivered to the APU in the near future. It is not specified how many Renault trucks will be purchased in total.
Renault Trucks are equipped with vans with special equipment. The Ukrainian military expects that the new equipment will replace the outdated radio stations on the ZIL-131 and GAZ-66 chassis, which have been in operation since Soviet times.
