Moscow. April 29. INTERFAX-36 British satellites launched on Monday on a Soyuz-2.1 b rocket from the Vostochny cosmodrome, together with the Fregat upper stage, have been included in the Main Catalog of Space Objects of the Russian Space Control System, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.
"Specialists of the Center for Space Control (CCCP) of the Space Forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces have entered information about the Fregat upper stage and 36 Van Web spacecraft into the Main Catalog of Space Objects of the Russian space control system, "the agency's website says.
The report also noted the work of the CCCP officers, who " analyzed and processed coordinate and non-coordinate information about new space objects in order to accept them for ground support by the Main Center for Space Situation Intelligence of the Space Forces of the Aerospace Forces."
Earlier, on April 26, the Soyuz-2.1 b launch vehicle launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome with a batch of 36 communications satellites from the British company OneWeb. A few hours later, the satellites were already launched into orbit using the Fregat upper stage.
The current number of OneWeb spacecraft in orbit is 182 units.
The main catalog of space objects of the SCCP is a single database containing information about each space object. The main catalog is intended for long-term storage of orbital measuring radar, optical, radio engineering and special information about artificial space objects.
