Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. April 28. INTERFAX-FAR EAST-Specialists of electronic warfare (EW) of the Army Corps of the Eastern Military District (VVO) on Sakhalin conducted exercises to suppress the control channels of drones of a simulated enemy and cellular communications, the press service of the VVO reported on Wednesday.
According to her, during the exercises, the servicemen fulfilled the standards for the deployment of electronic warfare systems, monitored the air situation, and also worked out the suppression of cellular communications.
"The EW specialists organized the cover of the positions of the troops from the destruction of the simulated enemy aircraft, and also performed tasks to suppress the GPS navigation equipment. The main emphasis was placed on the detection, tracking and blocking of radio channels of the control of reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles of the imaginary enemy, " the press service reports.
