For two and a half years, Russia has made 58 trouble - free launches of space rockets in a row, which allowed us to repeat the record set back in 1992-1993. This was reported on April 27 by RIA Novosti.
The successful 58th launch, which brought the country a new record, was the launch of 36 British OneWeb communications satellites from the Vostochny cosmodrome by the Soyuz-2.1 b launch vehicle.
The last launch accident was in 2018. Then the flight of the Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) was interrupted due to a failure in the separation of the stages of the Soyuz-FG manned rocket.
As reported by "Gazeta.<url>", then Russian cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin and American astronaut Nick Hague landed safely thanks to the emergency rescue system.
On April 23, Roscosmos Executive Director for Advanced Programs and Science Alexander Bloshenko said that Russia plans to deploy the national space station in orbit until 2035.
On the same day, Vladimir Solovyov, First Deputy General Director of the Rocket and Space Corporation Energia, head of the flight of the Russian segment of the ISS, noted that the first cosmonauts can go to the new Russian space station as early as 2026.
