INTERFAX-SIBERIA-The crews of the Mi-8AMTSh-V "Terminator" transport and combat helicopters and the MI-24 attack helicopters of the Central Military District have returned to their permanent deployment points in the Novosibirsk region after tactical flight exercises, the press service of the Central Military District reports.
"During the exercises, the servicemen worked out training and combat tasks, including relocating to operational airfields, tasks for aerial reconnaissance, launching missile strikes on ground targets in order to support ground units and cover their ground - based bases," the report says.
In addition, the crews of the army aviation performed flights at extremely low altitudes, skirting the terrain, practiced landing on unprepared sites and landing personnel, evacuation of conditionally wounded servicemen.
More than 20 pieces of equipment, as well as about 100 military personnel from among the flight, engineering and technical personnel were involved in the tactical flight exercises.
