SAMARA, April 23. /TASS/. The new manned spacecraft with the crew "Eagle" can fly in 2025 not to the International Space Station (ISS), but to the Russian station, Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin told reporters on Friday.
"If we deploy the base module of the new station in 2025, then we will fly a new ship. We also plan to launch a new manned spacecraft, the Eagle, in 2025, and we plan to fly to the ISS. Yesterday I met with a group of cosmonauts, gathered them all, and we are now considering the possibility of changing the flight mission, that is, not to fly to the ISS, but to fly a new manned spacecraft with a crew to our Russian station, " he said.
Earlier, Rogozin reported that the Rocket and Space Corporation Energia was tasked with ensuring the readiness of the first base module for the new Russian space station in 2025. According to him, it is already in the works. The head of the state corporation also published a video of the first module being created. It will be a Scientific and energy module, which was previously supposed to be launched to the ISS in 2024.
