The government Commission on legislative activity approved a project that creates a unified communication system for the armies of the CIS countries.
"It is proposed to ratify the agreement on the joint communication system of the armed forces of the CIS member states. It is planned that the joint communication system will be created at the expense of the most complete and effective use of the available resource of the communication systems of the national armed forces, state communication networks of the States parties to the agreement. At the same time, an absolute priority will be given to equipping the troops with modern and promising means of communication," said Vladimir Gruzdev, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Bar Association.
He noted that the agreement on the creation of a joint communication system was signed in May last year.
"It is assumed that the Ministry of Defense of Russia will create a full - time body under the coordinating committee of the chiefs of Communications of the armed forces of the CIS states, which will ensure the stable functioning of the unified communications system," Vladimir Gruzdev said.
