General Director of the company Andrey Dyachkov noted that this project is also attractive for foreign customers
MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS/. The Northern Design Bureau (SPKB, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) will present a version of the patrol ship project 22160. This was announced by the General Director of the company Andrey Dyachkov in an interview with TASS in connection with the 75th anniversary of the bureau celebrated on April 22.
"If the customer has a need for an additional number of ships of the project 22160 and additional tasks are defined for them, then, accordingly, the project will be restyled, it will receive new opportunities," he said.
Dyachkov recalled that the first six ships of the series were built in accordance with the technical task, which was issued by the customer - the Russian Navy. It was under the goals and objectives defined by him that the optimal composition of the ship's weapons and equipment was chosen.
In the future, if the customer needs an additional number of ships of the project 22160, they will receive new opportunities. "And it will be relatively easy to do this, since all our ships are designed as basic platforms with an open architecture and the ability to install different weapons systems and systems," he explained.
According to Dyachkov, " due to this, this project is also attractive for foreign customers, since it allows them to implement their requirements in relation to the installation of the set of weapons and equipment that they consider optimal for themselves."
