Combat crews of the anti-aircraft missile and gun complex " Pantsir-S "of the Leningrad Association of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Western Military District (ZVO) in the Astrakhan region at the Ashuluk training ground conducted live firing in motion.
The fire on ground targets simulating the armored vehicles and manpower of the imaginary enemy was conducted from 30-mm 2A38M anti-aircraft machine guns with a rate of fire of 5 thousand rounds per minute, and on air unmanned targets flying at low altitudes — anti-aircraft guided missiles with radio command guidance and infrared tracking. At the same time, the speed of movement of combat vehicles on the march was up to 10 km/h.
The shooting took place as part of a control check for the winter training period.
Earlier, on April 8, combat crews of the self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun complexes of the ZRPK "Pantsir-S "struck at the lightly armored vehicles of the simulated enemy during exercises at the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region. The Russian Defense Ministry said that after the cross-country march, the crews took their calculated positions and began to perform tasks.
