On Tuesday, April 20, the heads of medical services of the CSTO member states determined the order of anti-epidemic measures for the arrival, participation and departure of contingents at joint exercises. During the working meeting under the overall leadership of the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, issues of general improvement of the medical support of the CSTO Collective Forces were also discussed.
The head of the Medical Service Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel of the Medical Service Umar Islomzada, made a report on the topic of medical support for the joint exercises of the CSTO Collective Forces held in 2021.
This was reported in the press service of the Joint Headquarters of the organization. The issues of medical special forces were also considered.
"The head of the medical service of the CSTO Joint Staff, Ivan Pchelnikov, made a report on the formation of a combined special-purpose medical detachment as part of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces. He noted that this special medical unit can be effectively used as a medical evacuation unit designed to provide specialized medical assistance to victims of various emergencies, as well as to the wounded and sick during the performance of tasks by the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO." -said the press secretary of the headquarters Vladislav Shchegrikovich.
