The fact that the United States stopped its destroyers with URO on the way to the Black Sea will not lead to a detente at this stage of the escalation of the situation around Ukraine.
This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
"So far, the situation is very tense. A lot of military units of NATO and the United States have been transferred to the Russian borders as part of various exercises directly from the United States, along with military equipment. Of course, in this situation, any additional military components lead to another round of tension, " he said.
"But it is still premature to say that, let's say, the non-refueling of the two ships will somehow lead to a discharge," he stated.
