As part of the tactical exercise, the air defense units of the Southern Military District conducted live firing from S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems at air targets at the specialized Telemba training ground in Buryatia.
Combat launches of anti-aircraft missiles were carried out on Saman targets, simulating air objects of a simulated enemy at long and short ranges and at various altitudes.
Also, as part of the training, the actions of radio engineering units were worked out to ensure control over the air situation, detect, track targets and issue target designations.
In total, about 300 servicemen of the Southern Military District took part in the exercise and more than 50 units of military and special equipment were involved.
