Washington. April 15. INTERFAX-Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that Iran needs to "cool down" after the recent operation at the Iranian nuclear facility in Natanz, allegedly committed by Israel.
"I'm not sure that Israel did it, and I would advise the Iranians to cool off," Olmert told WABC radio.
According to him, Iran's threats do not frighten Israel.
"But this very cruel rhetoric, these threats are not necessary and will not help anyone," he said.
Olmert added that he is confident that US President Joe Biden will be mindful of Israel's interests in the face of escalating tensions between the countries.
"I have never had any doubts about his (Biden's) firmness, his determination and his commitment to the security of the State of Israel," Olmert said.
