TSAMTO, April 14. The sniper unit of the motorized rifle unit of the Eastern Military District (VVO), stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory, received modern thermal imaging sights 1PN140-2.
The sights have a bracket for mounting on the side bar of sniper rifles, including the Dragunov sniper rifle (SVD) and the silent 9 mm VSS sniper rifle.
The devices are already actively used by military personnel in the course of combat training, as well as training and exercises at various levels and are necessary for monitoring the battlefield, detecting, recognizing targets and conducting targeted shooting from sniper rifles at any time of the day, with the possibility of using them in conditions of poor visibility.
Thermal imaging sights can be operated at temperatures from +50 to -40 deg. C and air humidity up to 100%. They are ergonomic and relatively compact elements of sniper equipment.
An important feature of modern thermal imaging sights is the ability to take photos and then view the photos on the screen of the sight or transfer photos from the memory of the sight to a computer connected via a USB port. Also, the sights provide the ability to display a thermal image on an external monitor in real time, the press service of the Eastern Military District reports.
