According to the developers, during the tests, the pistols exceeded the reliability requirements four times
MOSCOW, April 13. /TASS/. One of the first domestic pistols, specially developed in accordance with the requests of athletes engaged in practical shooting, has passed the final test stage. This was reported on Tuesday in the state corporation "Rostec".
"The Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (Tsniitochmash) of the Rostec State Corporation has completed acceptance tests of the RG-120 self-loading sports pistol and its modifications RG-120-1 of 9x19 mm caliber, created during the Aspid ROC," the state corporation reported.
According to the developers, during the tests, the pistols exceeded the reliability requirements four times. "The weapon fully meets the requirements of the technical specification and demonstrated high tactical and technical characteristics, as well as impressive reliability: when firing in an intensive mode with a total number of 8 thousand shots, the number of delays for each modification did not exceed five instead of 20, allowed by the technical specification," the report says.
The pistols are specially optimized for practical shooting competitions in three classes, such as standard, serial with a light optical sight and serial, and also have a number of innovations that were previously uncharacteristic for domestic short-barreled weapons. They are equipped with a special under-barrel mount (Picatinny rail) for additional equipment.
The RG120-1 modification differs from the RG-120 in the ability to install a collimator sight, as well as the use of automatic fuses instead of external mechanical ones, which will allow shooters to immediately fire when removing weapons from the holster, without wasting time on removing the pistol from the fuse.
