NPO Mashinostroyeniya, commissioned by Roscosmos, is developing the Condor-FKA-M satellite. This was announced by the chief designer of the enterprise in the direction of spacecraft Alexey Rabochy, according to the corporate publication "Tribune".
"The work is being carried out by order of the state corporation Roscosmos in the interests of thematic customers (the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Rosreestr, Roshydromet). Our team has carried out a large amount of preparatory work, including with the financial support of the company, " the specialist said. According to him, the preliminary design of the satellite was completed last year.
This year, specialists will begin to develop technical documentation.
As the Worker noted, as a result, a promising spacecraft with very high characteristics will be created. This will give the device the ability to receive information in a higher resolution and increase performance.
Earlier in the day, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin, in a message of congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the first human spaceflight in history, said that Russia is on the eve of important changes in the industry.
