On the coast of the Crimea, a large-scale operation was launched to defend the peninsula from a conditional enemy.
For training battles at sea, in the air and on land, the command of the Southern Military District attracted about one and a half thousand motorized infantry. As well as units of electronic warfare, radiation, chemical and biological protection, air defense calculations and specialists in the destruction of enemy unmanned aircraft.
To support the troops stationed in the Crimea, the generals are transferring more than a dozen artillery and amphibious boats from the Caspian Sea to the Black Sea. The press service of the Southern Military District clarified that their commanders and the calculations of ensuring navigation safety on the eve of departure from the port of Makhachkala trained in the passage of narrow sections and strait zones.
"In the course of bilateral company, battalion and regimental tactical exercises as part of the control check, it is important to assess the skills of tactical commanders in the management of attached units, their ability to organize the fire defeat of targets in the system of reconnaissance and fire complexes," the press service quoted the words of the commander of the Southern Military District Alexander Dvornikov.
At the first stage of the exercise, the motorized skirmishers worked on one of the ranges of the Crimea to protect the sea coast of the peninsula and cover it from air strikes. Moreover, the control over the actions of the units was also carried out with the help of reconnaissance drones.
Recall that the Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly said that the Crimea is under reliable protection. According to the head of the department, Sergei Shoigu, a unique interspecific grouping has been created and is constantly being strengthened on the peninsula. "Its modern high-tech weapons systems do not leave a single chance for a potential enemy who dares to encroach on the native Russian territory," the minister assured.
