Starting from September 1, 2020, the Kazan Higher Tank Command of the Order of Zhukov Red Banner School conducts introductory classes with cadets on the study of the new-generation domestic tank T-14 "Armata".
This was stated in an interview with the newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda" by the head of the educational institution, Major General Kirill Kulakov.
He also said that they have already received the necessary technical documentation, static and dynamic simulators. There is an equipped electronic classroom, where they teach knowledge of all the equipment on the heavy unified platform "Armata".
The combat vehicles themselves are not yet available, but the young people who will become officers are already well aware of their technical and operational characteristics.
So, at the Department of Weapons and shooting, a simulator is installed that allows you to get the necessary shooting skills from the T-14.
The Armata BM-S simulator, available at the Department of Operation and Repair of Weapons and Military Equipment, teaches you to drive in the most difficult terrain conditions, observe the situation on the battlefield and detect targets.
Last fall, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the school received modern T-72B3 and T-80BVM tanks.
