TSAMTO, April 8. The anti-drone complex "Chameleon", capable of detecting drones flying in radio silence mode, was presented in the technopolis " Era " as part of the Innovation Day of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"Chameleon" is designed for round-the-clock detection of small-sized targets such as UAVs, including those flying in radio silence mode. It can be installed on both armored vehicles and stationary objects.
The complex provides automatic tracking of the target in several spectral ranges, while simultaneously issuing target designation to the means of influence. As a result of recognition, the complex determines the type and model of the goal, and performs preliminary selection of goals based on external characteristics.
The maximum range of the complex is from 3.5 thousand meters to 9 thousand meters. m at any time of the day, depending on the type of target. Weight about 45 kg. The complex is a development of the Moscow Research Television Institute, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
