The Kalashnikov Concern has prematurely completed the implementation of the state defense order for 2021 for the supply of the Russian Defense Ministry of guided missiles "Vikhr-1". This is stated on April 7 in a message on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
"Since the renewal of the state contract in the spring of 2014, we have managed to quickly not only establish large-scale production of new missiles" Vikhr — 1", but also to resolve the issue of replacing imported components with domestic ones, " - said the General Director of the concern Alexey Krivoruchko.
"Kalashnikov" became the winner of the competition of the Ministry of Defense in July 2013 and in October 2015 handed over to the department the first batch of missiles. The total cost of the state contract was about 13 billion rubles.
The guided missile "Whirlwind-1" is designed to destroy armored vehicles, as well as low-speed air targets. The maximum firing range is up to 10 km, while launches can be carried out from a height of up to 4 thousand meters.
The missile carriers are the Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopters.
In March, the state commission completed tests of the Lebedev modular pistol developed by the Kalashnikov Group of companies. It is noted that the development of the pistol began in 2017, taking into account the tactical and technical tasks of the Rosgvardiya.
