INTERFAX-FAR EAST - Training to repel a simulated enemy air raid was conducted on Sakhalin by the calculations of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems of the association of the Air Force and Air defense of the Eastern Military District, the press service of the department reported on Wednesday.
"During the practical part of the training, after receiving a signal about the violation of air borders by the aircraft of the conditional enemy, the calculations of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems worked out actions to search, detect, classify and conditionally destroy the "enemy". The servicemen fulfilled the standards for bringing military equipment into readiness to repel the raid, to accompany training targets, " the report says.
At the end of the training, the servicemen conducted training (electronic) missile launches, "the air targets of the simulated enemy were hit."
As reported, in February of this year, the air defense units of the Eastern Military District took up duty on the air defense of Sakhalin Island on the new S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.
