General Director of NPO Mashinostroyeniya Alexander Leonov said that there are export orders for " Condors"
REUTOV /Moscow region/, April 2. /TASS/. The launches of the Condor-FKA radar satellites are scheduled for 2022 and 2023. This was announced on Friday by the General Director, General Designer of the NPO Mashinostroyeniya (part of the corporation " Tactical Missile Weapons") Alexander Leonov.
"Roscosmos recently announced adjusted launch plans. Now the first "Condor-FKA" is planned for 2022, the second-for 2023. We are going in the schedule that is provided for by the contract, " Leonov told reporters on the sidelines of the Academic Readings on Cosmonautics.
Speaking about the promising spacecraft "Condor-FKA-M", Leonov said:"We have developed and defended the draft design." "Given the fact that funding is required quite large, and the budget of Roscosmos is being cut, when it will be in terms of [launch], I am not ready to say," said the general designer of the NPO Mashinostroyeniya.
Leonov also added that there are export orders for "Condors". "I will answer briefly - there is," said Leonov.
In November 2020, the General Director of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, reported that the Condor-FKA satellite would be launched at the end of 2021.
