Moscow. March 28. INTERFAX-Military personnel of the Leningrad Air Force and Air Defense Association will conduct live firing at the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"In the training center for combat training and combat use of anti-aircraft missile forces at the Ashuluk training ground, combat crews of the S-400 Triumph and Pantsir-S systems of the Leningrad Air Force and Air Defense Association of the ZVO will conduct live firing of anti-aircraft guided missiles," the ministry said in a statement on its website.
"The combat crews of the anti-aircraft missile divisions will repel an electronic massive missile and air strike of a simulated air enemy, the role of which will be performed by MiG-31BM interceptor fighters, performing electronic missile launches on them," the Defense Ministry said.
It is noted that high-speed, super-maneuverable, ballistic missile targets "Armavir", "Favorit", "Pischal" and "Kaban"will also act as air targets.
According to the military department, the exercises at the Ashuluk training ground will be held from March 29 to April 4.
