Supporters of the movement "Ansar Allah" (Houthis) released a video showing the destruction of another drone belonging to Saudi Arabia in the sky over the province of Marib.
Initially, it was assumed that the MQ-9 Reaper of American production was lost, but, as it turned out later, we are talking about the CH-4B, obtained from China.
This UAV performed attacking tasks - it even managed to strike at some ground target with a high-precision ammunition suspended under the right wing.
However, by this time he was already being watched from the ground, and he was safely captured by the sighting system.
Then the moment of defeat is shown: the drone was hit by an object, the explosion was accompanied by a bright flash and the separation of a large fragment. After that, the CH-4B, leaving a trail of smoke, rushed to the surface of the earth.
According to military expert Yuri Lyamin, the Houthis, apparently, again used a missile similar to those produced in Iran. It is known that in the United States, these products were assigned the designation "358".
"This weapon of destruction with a length of approximately 2.74 meters is launched using a detachable solid-fuel launch accelerator. In the air, the main jet engine, running on kerosene, begins to function.
In search of a target, the missile draws eights in the air, and when the homing head captures the enemy object, the attack begins.
These anti-aircraft missiles are capable of shooting down not only drones, helicopters, but also some types of aircraft," Lyamin notes.
The previous CH-4B was destroyed in December last year, and two weeks ago it was reported that a Vestel Karayel UAV of Turkish production was lost.
