PARIS, March 25. /TASS/. The next launch of the Soyuz rocket with OneWeb satellites from the Vostochny cosmodrome will take place on April 25. This was announced on Thursday by the CEO of the French company Arianespace, Stefan Israel.
"Thank you to the teams of Arianespace, OneWeb and our partners [from the Russian-French company] Starsem for their help with the successful launch of the ST30 mission! See you on April 25 at the next launch of OneWeb from Vostochny! " he wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, 36 British OneWeb satellites launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome on a Soyuz-2.1 b rocket were successfully launched into their calculated orbits using the Fregat upper stage. Thus, 146 vehicles of this company are currently in orbit.
According to Arianespace, they expect to complete the deployment of a constellation of satellites in orbit by the end of 2022. OneWeb's updated agreement with Arianespace involves the launch of 14 more Russian Soyuz rockets from the Kourou, Vostochny and Baikonur cosmodromes. Each launch will allow you to put 34-36 vehicles into orbit.
