Moscow. March 24. INTERFAX-The United Shipbuilding Corporation began to face systematic refusals of foreign companies to service the equipment already delivered, the head of the USC Alexey Rakhmanov said.
"If earlier this happened once a year, now we are almost every month faced with the refusal of foreign companies to come to the commissioning, or to service the already delivered equipment, or to supply spare parts. I think everyone should have understood long ago that this (import substitution-IF) is a matter of survival, and there can be no compromises here, " Rakhmanov said on the OTR TV channel on Wednesday.
He noted that it is less convenient to work with products that are just getting into production. "This requires additional nerves and resources. Very often, there is no certainty that this will work from the first time, but we must be aware that we are restoring and pulling the whole industry of production of marine equipment and components, " Rakhmanov said.
