Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones will be able to effectively target Ukrainian Tochka-U missile systems, Alder, Smerch, and Uragan rocket systems.
Usually, when considering the capabilities of these UAVs, they focus on the performance of their strike tasks, but they are also good scouts. For example, that the installed US-Canadian optoelectronic station CMX-15D is able to " see " targets at a distance of 15 km.
At the same time, during the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, according to a number of sources, these drones detected objects at distances of more than 50 km.
It should be understood that at such ranges it is significantly difficult to destroy them by means of military anti-air defense.
It is known that currently, in connection with the sanctions on new versions of these UAVs, Turkish-made surveillance equipment with allegedly even higher characteristics is already being installed.
Given that the Bayraktars are able to "hang" at altitudes of more than 8000 m, for 24 hours, they will be able to provide real-time information to the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and give target designation to the Tochka-U missile systems, as well as long-range multiple launch rocket systems.
