TSAMTO, March 11. The Techmash Concern, which is managed by the Technodinamika holding of the Rostec State Corporation, has started mass production of icing sensors with artificial intelligence elements.
The Research Institute of Electronic Devices has already released the first batch of devices that will be installed on the latest Russian fighters.
The control unit of the new icing detector is equipped with an IR port for information exchange, has become smaller and lighter: its weight is reduced by 30% compared to the previous version. At the same time, the sensor for military aircraft is not only a signaling device, but also works in dynamics, measuring the thickness of the ice and predicting icing with the help of artificial intelligence elements.
"The specialists of the enterprise fully fulfilled the technical task of the customer, ensuring reliable operation of the icing sensor at sharply changing values of the angles of attack. This was achieved thanks to the development of additional software and a change in the design of the product. The sensor not only signals the beginning of icing, but also predicts the situation, protecting the fighter from adverse weather factors, " the Rostec weapons complex reported.
