Rosgvardiya can arm itself with new pistols. Yesterday, March 9, the press service of the Kalashnikov concern reported that the Lebedev modular pistol (MPL) successfully passed state tests.
"Work on the subject of the MPL was started in 2017 according to the tactical and technical task of the Rosgvardiya. These works have been completed, and the tests have been completed with a positive result, " said Lieutenant General Alexey Bezzubikov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian National Guard.

The Kalashnikov concern indicates that the pistol was developed according to the tactical and technical task of the Rosgvardiya in the course of development work (R & D) "development of a promising pistol for a 9×19 mm cartridge with advanced tactical capabilities", code"Lynx". At the same time, the developers expect that their brainchild will be interested in other law enforcement agencies.
The MPL pistol is designed in two versions: standard and for special tasks. In the second case, the weapon is equipped with a device for reducing the sound of firing( PSZS), an additional barrel with a seat for installing the PSZS and elements for placing the weapon on the equipment of the serviceman. The pistol is also equipped with a mount for various attachments, can be equipped with increased capacity magazines, a trigger mechanism with automatic firing mode, etc.
Earlier, the state tests in the interests of the Ministry of Internal Affairs successfully passed the PLC — compact pistol Lebedev.
