Iran's Defense ministry has delivered dozens of planes, helicopters and jet engines to the Islamic Republic's Air Force in accordance with plans to increase the combat power of the country's forces, the Mehr news agency reports.
The Iranian Air Force received nine combat aircraft, 10 helicopters and dozens of jet engines during the ceremony, which was attended by Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Khatami, Air Force Commander Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh and other high-ranking officers.
As you can understand, we are not talking about the supply of new units of military equipment, but about its modernization and major repairs, says Eadaily.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Nasirzadeh described the Iranian Air Force as " a dynamic, innovative and self-sufficient sector that is fully reliable and ready to perform any operational tasks."
"The delivery of several aircraft and helicopters to the troops demonstrates the creative approach of our specialists, with the help of which we have optimized and modernized our equipment," the Air Force commander said.
