TSAMTO, February 26. Al-Jasoor, a joint venture of Turkey's Otokar Land Systems and the Emirati military-industrial conglomerate EDGE, announced the launch of a project to create a new-generation 6x6 floating BBM "Rabdan" at the IDEX-2021 exhibition.
The armored vehicle was presented at the company's stand in the form of a mock-up. Currently, the company produces the "Rabdan" BBM with a wheel formula of 8x8, which is a version of the "Arma" BBM of the Turkish Otokar.
As stated, with its flexible firepower and modular design, the Rabdan BBM with a 6x6 wheel formula meets the existing and future tactical and technical requirements of the Armed Forces units of the Persian Gulf region and other states.
Since ensuring the safety and survivability of soldiers remains a top priority for the company, the next-generation platform will feature flexible ballistic protection capabilities and be equipped with modular mounted armor. The BBM will also be equipped with an automatic fire extinguishing system, which ensures a high level of crew safety in difficult conditions.
It is possible to adapt the "Rabdan" for use in various conditions, including high-and low-intensity conflicts. The new BBM will be unified in terms of components and units with the basic version with a wheel formula of 8x8. The BBM will be produced in various configurations and can be integrated into various C4I combat control systems.
