MOSCOW, February 26-RIA Novosti. The holding company "Roselektronika" (part of "Rostec") has developed a mobile anti-drone complex "Protection", which fits in three cases, the press service of the state corporation reported on Friday.
Thanks to the passive radar locator, the "Protection" radar does not irradiate the target, but uses signals emitted by external third – party transmitters-digital television waves reflected from the target. The absence of an active locator allows the system to remain invisible to other people's intercepting devices, which significantly reduces the likelihood of radio interference. In addition, the passive radar does not require a permit for the use of radio frequency channels, which facilitates its use in the civilian sphere.
The holding company "Roselektronika" was founded in 1997, in 2009 it became a part of the State Corporation "Rostec". Today, the holding forms more than 50% of the output of electronic components in Russia, 8% of the output of the radio-electronic industry as a whole, and provides more than 10% of the industry's jobs. It unites more than 120 enterprises and scientific organizations. The annual total revenue of the holding companies exceeds 150 billion rubles. The holding's products are supplied to more than 30 countries, including Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
