TSAMTO, February 24. ADSB launched the 16-meter and 12-meter high-speed patrol boats (FPB), which were designed and built in the UAE, during the NAVDEX 2021 exhibition, which is held simultaneously with the International Defense Exhibition IDEX-2021.
The 16-meter-long boat has a modular design that allows you to place either a short cabin with space for installing surface-to-surface missile systems, or a longer one for transporting troops. At the request of the customer, the boat can be equipped with armor, weapons systems with manual or remote control of caliber from 12.7 mm to 30 mm. The 16-meter boat was built in accordance with the requirements of the coast guard forces and can be additionally equipped with "self-recovery" technology, which helps the boat to restore its position in the event of a capsize.
Depending on the customer's requirements, the length of the 12-meter boat can be adjusted in the range of 11 to 13 meters. The payload capacity is up to 2 tons, which allows it to be equipped with a remotely controlled weapons module or a missile launcher. In addition, the boat can be adapted for use in remote control mode.
As stated, the intellectual property rights to the boat project are fully owned by ADSB, and the modular design ensures quick construction within weeks, not months.
With one of the largest shipyards in the Middle East, ADSB can build three types of warships, including corvettes, naval patrol ships, and high-speed patrol boats. The company also provides a full range of services for the maintenance, repair, re-equipment and modernization of ships.
ADSB is part of the "Platforms and Systems" cluster of the military-industrial conglomerate EDGE.
