Firefly Aerospace, owned by Ukrainian entrepreneur Maxim Polyakov, is to launch the Orbital Test Bed (OTB) 2 research spacecraft from General Atomics in 2022.
The American-Ukrainian company Firefly Aerospace has every chance to get a part of the market of rocket and space services. In any case, its promising carrier Alpha was again in demand.
General Atomics announced this [...] on February 18. The new carrier is planned to launch the Orbital Test Bed (OTB) 2 satellite. It will carry a NASA instrument designed to study air pollution from solid particles in urban areas and help scientists understand the impact of these particles on human health. The company does not disclose the terms of the agreement.
Recall that recently it became known that the rocket from Firefly Aerospace was chosen to launch a promising spacecraft with ten payloads to the Moon.
