This will significantly reduce the time of fire control and eliminate operator errors.
ABU DHABI, February 22. /TASS/. An automated guidance fire control system (ASU) for barrel artillery and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) is being developed in Russia. This was reported to TASS at the international arms exhibition IDEX-2021 by the press service of the holding company " High-precision Complexes "(part of the state Corporation"Rostec").
"Currently, the creation of an ASU with new control principles, with elements of artificial intelligence, with the implementation of an intuitive interface and a decision support system is underway, which will significantly reduce the time of fire control and eliminate operator errors," the press service reported.
As noted in the holding, a new structure for the construction of ASUOS, made on the principles of a mixed trunk-radial structure, is also being implemented. "This will allow you to flexibly build up and reconfigure the created ASUS for other systems," the press service added.
The "High-precision Complexes" noted that the Signal Research Institute has developed a number of tools for automating artillery fire control in recent years. The ASUNO control system is equipped with the latest Russian artillery systems, including the Msta-SM self-propelled artillery systems and the Tornado-G and Tornado-S MLRS.
Earlier, the director of "Signal" Vladimir Pimenov said that the Ministry of Defense has purchased the latest tablet computer "Tablet-A", designed to control artillery fire.
