The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has assigned the K1921VK01T microcontroller, developed in JSC NIIET, the status of products manufactured in the Russian Federation. The company received the relevant conclusion in January 2021.
According to the commercial director of the Research Institute of Electronic Technology Sergey Smeshnov, it is planned to sell at least 300 thousand microcontrollers in a year, a number of companies that produce electric meters, cash registers, automotive equipment, etc. are already interested in purchasing them.
"At the moment, we have already signed contracts for the supply of the chip, and we plan to ship a large batch of controllers around July," said Sergey Smeshnov.
The universal microcontroller K1921VK01T is a 32-bit VLSI based on the ARM Cortex-M4F core, designed to control various motors, for use in industrial equipment, consumer applications, including remote monitoring systems, control and measuring devices, network devices, production process automation systems and automotive electronics.
The full list of the microcontroller's characteristics can be found in the catalog on the company's website.
In the near future, NIIET plans to obtain the status of products manufactured in Russia for a number of other promising microchips developed at the enterprise.
It is worth recalling that from June 1, 2021, the use of domestic level 1 and 2 microchips will become mandatory in telecommunications equipment that the manufacturer plans to include in the register of products of Russian origin. Today, in the case of non-use of integrated circuits of Russian production, it is allowed to use passive and discrete domestic components in the production of equipment.
The use of products of JSC NIIET will also contribute to obtaining the status of Russian-made equipment, without sacrificing its functionality and performance.
