The tender has not yet been announced
BANGALORE, February 4. /TASS/. Rosoboronexport (part of the state corporation Rostec) is ready to participate in the Indian tender for the supply of submarines under the P75i program. This was reported to TASS by Rosoboronexport during the international aviation salon Aero India 2021.
"If the relevant documentation is received, Rosoboronexport is ready to participate in it. India has not yet announced this tender, " the company said.
The Indian Navy's P75i program for the purchase of six non-nuclear submarines with an air-independent power plant and an attack missile system was initiated in 2007. The cost of the project is about 500 billion Indian rupees ($6.9 billion). As of early 2021, no tender has been announced. Initially, it was assumed that the first P75i submarines will begin to arrive in the Indian Navy from 2030, but, according to experts, the coronavirus pandemic will delay these plans.
