The press service of the Uralvagonzavod concern clarified that a trained crew of two people can load the machine's ammunition in 20 minutes
MOSCOW, February 2. /TASS/. The transport-loading vehicle of the anti-aircraft artillery complex "Derivation-Air DEFENSE" is capable of loading the combat vehicle of the complex at the forefront of the battlefield. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the Uralvagonzavod concern (UVZ, part of the Rostec State Corporation).
"The transport-loading vehicle 9T260 is made on the chassis of a protected truck "Ural", equipped with an armored cab, body and fuel tanks. Thus, the vehicle can withstand the impact of 5.45-7.62 mm bullets and shrapnel, which represent one of the most serious threats on the battlefield," the press service said.
As noted in the UVZ, a trained crew of two people can load the machine's ammunition in 20 minutes.
The process of unloading ammunition from the transport and loading vehicle to the combat vehicle is maximally mechanized, which significantly reduces the reloading time and increases the survivability of the equipment, the UVZ reported. At the same time, it is possible to load two combat vehicles with ammunition.
As reported in the UVZ, one 9T260 is capable of simultaneously transporting almost 600 shells of 57 mm caliber, aerosol ammunition for setting smoke screens and more than 2 thousand rounds of ammunition.
The transport-loading vehicle, made on the basis of the armored "Ural", is one of the few protected means of support. Usually the Russian equipment of this class is carried out on the chassis of trucks "Kamaz" or "Ural".
